David Miliband
Senior AdvisorDavid is a British Labour Party politician who has been a Member of Parliament (MP) since 2001. He was British Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs from 2007 to 2010, appointed by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. David also served during the administration of Prime Minister Tony Blair as a Cabinet Office Minister, Schools Minister and Head of the Prime Minister’s Policy Unit. In 2006 he was appointed Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and became an advocate for international awareness of climate change and a low-carbon global economy. David studied at Oxford University and obtained a first class honors degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics. He has a Masters degree in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he was a Kennedy Scholar.
